Utah Canyon Country Park Tour

Come and join our adventure as we tour our Country’s most outstanding National Parks. We head West today enjoying the pleasant drive. Overnight in Grand Island, NE. Dinner included.

Breakfast included. Still heading west today. Later today the Colorado Rockies will come into view. Today we will pick up our tour guide. Overnight in Westminster, CO. Happy Hour is included tonight. Dinner and evening are at your leisure.

Breakfast included. Travel West through the Colorado Rockies; enjoy a rest stop in the world famous ski town of Vail with its wide variety of shops and restaurants. Then we continue our journey West to Glenwood Springs. A historic mining town with natural hot springs where you will have free time for lunch on your own. In the afternoon, enter Utah and follow the Colorado River through scenic Professor Valley and past Fisher Towers. This evening you will enjoy a Sunset Jet Boat ride on the mighty Colorado River through the spectacular Red Rock Canyons (included in tour). Dinner is included tonight. Overnight in Moab, UT for two nights.

Breakfast included. This morning we will take a short drive to Arches National Park for sightseeing and optional hiking. Make your way to the town of Moab for lunch on your own and some free time to explore the many shops. After lunch, we travel to Dead Horse Point State Park for one of the most spectacular views in the West. Evening and dinner on your own. Overnight in Moab, UT.

Breakfast included. After breakfast, we will travel to Green River for a rest stop. We will journey through the San Rafael Swell, then arrive at Capitol Reef National Park for sightseeing including; pioneer buildings and ancient Native American petroglyphs. Enjoy a picnic lunch (included) under ancient cottonwood trees. In the afternoon, you are in for an amazing drive on Scenic Hwy 12, designated as an “All American Road” the best of the Scenic Byways. You will climb over Boulder Mountain and pass through Grand Staircase National Monument. Arrive in Bryce Canyon and check into our hotel just outside the park. Dinner and evening at your leisure. Overnight in Bryce Canyon, UT.

Breakfast included. After breakfast, we will enjoy touring of Bryce Canyon National Park with its unique rock formations known as hoodoos. Then we take a short drive to Zion National Park, where there will be plenty of time for sightseeing. Lunch is included at the Zion Lodge. The free shuttle system will allow you to explore Zion Canyon at your own leisure. In the late afternoon, we will travel to nearby Kanab; known as “Little Hollywood” due to the countless movies and television programs filmed in the ar- ea. We will check in for our two night stay. Over- night in Kanab, UT. Dinner and evening at your leisure.

Breakfast included. We will enter into Arizona and climb the Kaibab Plateau. We will then enter Grand Canyon National Park North Rim for sightseeing and spectacular views of this geologic wonder. There will be time to explore the Visitors Center and have lunch on your own at Grand Canyon Lodge. This afternoon, we will depart the Grand Canyon with a stop at Jacob Lake Inn for a rest stop. Late afternoon, we will return to Kanab. Enjoy some free time to relax and explore on your own. This evening join the group for a Cowboy Dinner and fun on the old movie set at Frontier Movie Town (included in tour). We will stay overnight in Kanab, UT.

Breakfast is included. We will travel East to Lake Powell, an amazing man-made reservoir in the desert with a shoreline 50 miles longer than the entire West coast! We will stop at the Glen Canyon Dam Visitors Center, then enter the Navajo Nation and arrive at historic Goulding’s Lodge for a Navajo Taco lunch, which is included. We will meet with a Navajo guide and board a 4WD vehicle for touring of Monument Valley. In the afternoon, we will travel through the valley and we will visit some famous locations as we learn more about the Navajo traditions and way of life. We will enter Colorado and have our overnight stay in Cortez, CO. Dinner is included this evening.

Breakfast included. We will sightsee Mesa Verde National Park. One of the major centers for the ancient pueblo culture in this area. We will travel to Durango for some free time to explore and lunch at your leisure. We will make our stop for the night in Alamosa. Dinner and evening at your leisure.

Breakfast included. This morning, we depart Alamosa and head for Colorado Springs. We must say good-bye to our tour guide today. Over- night in Colorado Springs. Happy Hour is included tonight. Dinner and evening at your leisure.

Breakfast included. Depart Colorado Springs this morning and say good-bye to the West as we begin our journey home. Overnight at Grand Island, NE. Dinner included.
