Ride the Rails in West Virginia

Relax aboard our luxurious motorcoach as we head East towards the Appalachians! Our home for tonight will be in South Bend, IN. Dinner and evening are at your leisure.

Breakfast is included this morning. As we continue our way East, we will drive through the Allegheny Mountains. We will be staying three nights at the Canaan Valley Resort - a four season mountain destination nestled on a plateau overlooking the valley. Dinner is included this evening. Evening is at your leisure.

Breakfast is included today. We will depart for a fun filled day of ‘riding the rails’ through the beautiful countryside. We will board the Cass Scenic Railroad for the long haul to Bald Knob. In the four and half hours, we will climb 4842 feet on Black Allegheny Mountain. All open-air cars with panoramic views. We will enjoy a “King of the Road” hobo lunch (included in tour) along the way. Dinner and entertainment with Crandall Creek are included tonight.

Breakfast is included this morning. We will depart for our guided tour of the Blackwater Falls State Park. Lunch is on your own. We will then visit the Smoke Hole Caverns. The history of the caverns is tied to the Seneca Indians, who used the front section of the caverns to smoke wild game. The caverns contain an abundance of flowing stone, gleaming creamy white stone that looks like a rock waterfall. The build up of minerals from this steady flow of water builds monuments of stone that is breathtaking. We will have dinner included at the hotel this evening.

Breakfast is included today. We will make a stop at the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame before getting to the Drury Inn in Beachwood, OH, for our night stay. Happy Hour included this evening. Dinner and evening are at your leisure.
