Mackinac Island is a truly historic place to visit. Transportation on the island is by horse-drawn carriage, bicycle, or saddle horse; no motorized vehicles are allowed. Frankenmuth is a Bavarian town with many unique shops and is home to the “World’s largest Christmas Store”.
We will be leaving early this morning and traveling today to Mackinaw City, MI where we will stay for two nights at the Baymont Inn. The hotel is located in a great location with many restaurants and shops near by.
After having our breakfast (included in tour) we will be heading out for a fun-filled day on the beautiful Mackinac Island. You will have a ferry ride to the island and a full 1-3/4 hour carriage tour of the island. Then we will enjoy a wonderful buffet with over 100 scrumptious feet of buffet at the world famous Grand Hotel. Then the afternoon will be yours to enjoy this fantastic island. Your evening will be free.
After having our breakfast (included in tour) we will travel South to the Henry Ford Museum. Lunch is on your own here. Then we will travel to Frankenmuth, where we will stay for two nights at the Bavarian Inn. Tonight, we will have Frankenmuth’s famous chicken dinner (included in tour). Evening will be free.
After having our breakfast (included in tour), we will go explore Frankenmuth. We will go to the ’World’s largest Christmas Store’ - Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland (5 acres of Christmas items!) Then we will go to Frankenmuth’s Bavarian themed Shopping District - River Place Shops. Here you will find over 40 shops. There is even a Blacksmith Experience where men or women can craft their own unique item (on your own)! We will take a relaxing ride on the Bavarian Belle Riverboat. Dinner and evening are on your own.
We will be heading home after eating your breakfast (included in tour) and we will be home in the early evening after enjoying this fantastic tour to the beautiful Mackinac Island and Frankenmuth, MI.
