Your Ireland Tour begins today! You will be transported by a Glenn’s Motorcoach Tours deluxe motorcoach to the MSP Airport. We will have an overnight non-stop flight to Dublin, Ireland.
Dublin Airport - Galway. You will experience your first full Irish breakfast after leaving the airport (included). After breakfast, we will journey from Dublin to Galway, which offers a scenic and leisurely drive across the Irish countryside. We will stop and tour the Athlone Castle. This 12th century structure provides a fascinating glimpse into Ireland’s medieval past. We will stay two nights at The Galmont Hotel. Dinner and evening are at your leisure.
Galway. After your full Irish breakfast (included), we will make a trip to Connemara and Kylemore Abbey today. As we leave Galway, we venture into the wild beauty of Connemara. Where the rugged mountains, expansive boglands, and crystal clear lakes create a sense of untouched wilderness. As we drive along winding roads, you’ll be greeted by sweeping views of the Twelve Beans Mountain Range and the shimmering shores of Killary Harbor. Kylemore Abbey, nestled by the shores of Lough Pollacapall, is a striking sight with its Gothic architecture surrounded by lush woodlands and gardens. After we explore the abbey and its Victorian walled garden, we will make our way back to Galway. Dinner and evening at your leisure.
Galway - Killarney. Full Irish breakfast this morning (included). On our way to Killarney, we will have a scenic adventure that takes us through the heart of the Irish countryside, with a must-see stop at the Cliffs of Moher. The cliffs rise above 700 ft and stretch out along the Atlantic Coastline for 5 miles as waves crash below. Take in the awe-inspiring scenery and take a stroll along the cliffside path. We will then pass through the rolling hills and valleys of County Clare and into County Kerry. The drive offers stunning landscapes, including glimpses of the lakes and mountains that surround Killarney. We will stay two nights at The Killarney Plaza Hotel. Dinner is included tonight.
Killarney. After your full Irish breakfast (included), we will travel to the Dingle Peninsula. The journey begins with some of the most magnificent scenery in all of Ireland. The little town of Dingle is straight out of a storybook with the fishing boats in the harbor and the tiny brightly colored pubs. Lunch on your own here. Seafood chowder is a must! We continue on to Slea Head. Along the way we will see the beehive style huts, which overlook the rugged Blasket Islands. Once we are back in Killarney, we will try the Jaunting Carts (horse-drawn carriages), which are charming and iconic part of the area’s tourism experience. Dinner and evening are at your leisure.
Killarney - Cork. After your full Irish breakfast (included) we will depart for the Blarney Castle. The home of the Blarney Stone, which legend has it bequeaths the “gift of eloquence” to all who kisses it. After we explore the castle and grounds, we make our way to Cork - a lively city full of history, culture, and character. We will stay two nights at The Imperial Hotel Cork. Dinner is included.
Cork. After your full Irish breakfast (included), we will travel to Kinsale, which is a charming coastal town with colorful streets, a bustling marina, and lovely shops and cafes. We will visit the Charles Fort, perched on a hilltop over-looking the harbor. Here you will hear the fascinating history of the 17th century star-sharped fort. After Charles Fort, you can spend the rest of the day strolling around Kinsale before we travel back to Cork. Dinner and evening are at your leisure.
Cork - Dublin. After your full Irish breakfast (included) we will travel back to Dublin. As we travel though the heart of Ireland, we will make a stop in Cashel, home to the iconic Rock of Cashel. The rock is perched on a limestone hill with its ancient cathedral, round tower, and Cormac’s Chapel offers stunning views. We will travel through some picturesque villages as we make our way to Dublin. We will stay two nights at The Camden Court.
Dublin. After your full Irish breakfast (included), we will explore Dublin with a trip to Guinness. Touring the Guinness Storehouse is an immersive experience that brings the story of Ireland’s most iconic beer to life. You will hear about the history of the brand, which started back in 1759 by Arthur Guinness. You’ll explore interactive exhibits on the brewing process before reaching the top of Storehouse at the Gravity Bar. Here you can sample a pint of Guinness while enjoying the panoramic views of Dublin. Dinner is included.
Dublin Airport-Home. Enjoy your last full Irish breakfast (included). We will depart the hotel for our non-stop flight back to Minnesota, where our motorcoach will be waiting. In true Irish tradition - “slán abhaile”, which means good-bye and safe travels home.
