Calgary Stampede / Canadian Rockies

We’re off to Canada to the famous Calgary Stampede and the beautiful Canadian Rockies. It’s just a days drive to Jamestown, ND our home for tonight. Dinner is included tonight.

Heading westward again today after breakfast (included). Just before Medora, we will make a picture stop at the Painted Desert. Our noon lunch stop will be at Medora, ND. Medora was founded by a wealthy French nobleman who planned to revolutionize the meatpacking industry. The venture failed, but its an interesting story. Lunch will be on your own in historic Medora. Continuing west this afternoon, our home for tonight will be in Glasgow, MT.

Breakfast included this morning. Then we will head north into Canada today with customs at the border. Please have your passport ready as we arrive into Calgary,
Alberta late afternoon. In the evening, we have a fabulous dinner planned at the hotel.

Breakfast is included this morning. Then we depart for Stampede grounds, lunch on your own there. Reserved seats for Stampede and then time to explore Stampede park on your own, from the casino to the International Stock Show, Indian Village, and displays of western art. Dinner and evening are at your leisure.

Breakfast is included this morning. Our local guide joins us today as we tour the village of Banff. Where visitors come from all over the globe. A picture stop will be made at the legendary Banff Springs. The Sulfur Mountain Gondola ride is the highlight today. Ride to the top in a glass-enclosed, gondola and enjoy a 360° view of Banff and area. This afternoon we are back on the beautiful parkway and stop at Lake Louise with its turquoise water. Our two night stay will be in Canmore, Alberta. Dinner and evening are at your leisure.

Breakfast included. Today, a local guide joins us for the tour, which takes you through the fairytale land of the Canadian Rockies. We ride along the Icefield Parkway - said to be one of the 10 most beautiful highways in all of the North America. We stop at the Columbia Icefields in Jasper National Park for a tour of Athabasca Glacier. The specially designed “snocoaches” bring visitors onto the glacier where they can walk around on glacial ice and peer into deep blue crevasses. We will arrive at the hotel late afternoon. Dinner and evening are at your leisure.

Breakfast is included this morning. Heading east today, we travel through the wheat fields of Alberta and into the province of Saskatchewan. Our home for tonight will be in Regina, Saskatchewan. Dinner is included.

Breakfast is included this morning. Headed back to the United States. We will come through customs and then enjoy the scenry of North Dakota. Our journey continues south this afternoon. Our overnight will be in Jamestown, ND. Dinner is included this evening.

Homeward bound today after breakfast (included). We must bid farewell to our new friends and return to our homes with fond memories and beautiful pictures of the Calgary Stampede and the Canadian Rockies.
